Bang, Bang

It all started innocently enough. But now, NOW I'd better save my pennies. I'm hooked. A new hobby for me.
(I look fluffy in this coat - I'm not fluffy but I look fluffy and if you say I do - I'll shoot you)
Don't make this dude angry. He never misses.
...and soon she won't either. LOL.

"I used to fire a glock with the ex."
I'm glad you said 'with' not 'on'! :-)

Who'd you go with??

Not convinced with the whole gun thing... I'm not a fan. In the words of Bill Hicks: "There is no correlation between having a gun and shooting someone, and not having a gun and not shooting someone. Anyone that suggests there is, is a fool and a communist."

Yes, I was remiss in not telling you that I was with my friend Neil. He's one bad ass M@ther F*cker. LOL.

Slyde - youre damaged goods my friend... you'd seriously travel up here for paintball? Right on. Let's plan it!

Cheezy - also in the damaged goods dept. Have you ever been hit with a pellet on bare skin? Freakin hurts! Leaves a mark too.

Welcome to the fold. We need more gun nuts.

Besides, you guys need to be prepared in case we ever decide to invade and take your...snow?

elizabeth said...

mark - yes that is true! LOL

slyde - watch what you wish for buddy

bugwit - i do yes. Problem is I'm not sure I remember it. LOLr

Bugwit said...

Wow, you really DID have a lot to drink in Toronto! :-)

I guess I could just look it up, but Ive always thought that Wikipedia would be SO much better if it just anticipated the strange and inconsequential facts that I want to know and just e-mailed them to me.

Is that so much to ask?

I can attest to the fact that Slyde has his own paintball gun.

He shot me in the ass at point blank range with it once.

Ouch!

You're one crazy biotch! And I will NEVER go paint balling! I'm a big pansy girl.

Deadman said...

Hey, trying to figure out what you were shooting. What's the rtifle?

And the pistol looks like .45.

I have the same ears as your friend. They're the same ones I use at work.

elizabeth said...

bugwit - yes. A petition is in order.

earl - k. We need to get him back for that. You have to come dressed as a wizard.

Moxy - come on - won't be as fun without you. I'll cover you.

Mark - um. Yes it was a colt .45 and the rifle...neil, please tell mark what the rifle is...I'm still kind of a chick when it comes to this stuff (I know that it isn't a 22 - it's like the next step up...doesn't help though does it.)

Neil said...

The pistol is indeed a Colt 1911A1 .45 Government model, and the rifle is an SKS-D 7.62x39mm.

Elizabeth, you'll remember all this soon enough; after next Sunday you'll be a freakin expert!

Deadman said...

I was gonna guess SKS.

How do you like it for accuracy?

I just traded my S&W 5906 to my neighbor for his Beretta 92F. Both are in mint condition. I think my next acquisition will be a Ruger SP101 .357 as I currently have no revolvers.

How is Canada on CCP?

Next to impossible in California to get one, but pallbearers certainly are abundant.

LOL

elizabeth said...

This blog is getting an entire new theme... LOL

Deadman said...

Yeah, you could rename it "Shooting My Mouth Off"

:o)>

Neil said...

LOL *click-click, BOOM!*

Yeah that S&W is nice, some police forces use those around here, in .40 calibre; they are so much nicer than the Glock. My favourite 9mm so far has been the Browning Hi-Power (the Canadian military pistol) although I like the Berettas too. I do have a bit af a bias against the Berretta though, because it replaced the legendary 1911A1 in your armed forces.

As far as accuracy the SKS is better than you'd expect, but by no means a target rifle. Its advantages are that it's short, light, and quick. Mine is a Chinese military version (with 30 round clip you can see on the table)and while it's cheaply made it's durable and reliable - my favourite rifle.

OMG the secret's out - I'm a closet gun nut!

Elizabeth - Would you kindly change my name in the above comment to read simply "Mark"?

Blogger hiccuped and I didn't realize it was going to post my full name.

TIA

elizabeth said...

Mark - I don't think I can. I think you can though. If you can't I can delete it outright. Let me know...

Deadman said...

Elizabeth - I can't. If yopu would delete it I would greatly appreciate it. I'll just repost it.

Thanks much!

Neil:

Hate the Glock. We have one of those. I don't see what the fuss is all about. I guess they are simple and reliable, but something about just doesn't sit well with me. I bought it for my wife years ago and she's fired it once. It's been languishing in the gunsafe ever since.

The .40 is popular with our police as well because it is a good compromise between the 9 and the .45:

Higher muzzle velocity than the .45 and better stopping power than the 9.

IO have yen to buy a Mosin-Nagant. Part of the cachet being that it was a popular sniper rifle. NOT that I plan on doing any sniping, mind!

Elizabeth, are you taking notes?

:o)>

elizabeth said...

No worries Mark. It shall be done...PST Mark...your friend Neil has his own blog...

;-P

Elizabeth - Thanks, man, you're the best!

I'll go hang at Neils, but at least I'm on topic!!! And I'll laugh my arse off when you start talking like this.
