Leapt out of bed this morning looking very much like Dawn of the Dead. Hair sticking up every which way - with a confused and harried expression. Not sure what time it is exactly - no matter. I hear the house awake which means it is high time I drag my burnt little butt down the stairs. Wednesday means I must hurry a little - I've got to get to Roo's school first thing to volunteer. Have to get the garbage out too... and tonight I have to drive really far away to go out for this thing I agreed to...

I come flying down the stairs ready to take on the day. At the base of the staircase I stop. I stare. Say it isn't so. My eyeses deceive me. A huge snow storm. I open the back door and a blast of cold air mingled with SNOW hits my face.

I hate this. This is getting silly. We've set all manner of records this year with respect to snowfall. It's MARCH. What the heck is going on?

I'm going to run away....

It's garbage day here. I hate taking out garbage in a snow storm. Also I think someone (ahem, up there) is trying to test just how far I will go to get to the gym.
"why when I was a kid we had to walk up hill, both ways in the middle of a march blizzard with 2 other kids on our backs just to get to the treadmill."

Every morning I'm with hullabalovely her lush verdant chestnut hair can be shaped into any number of hair sculptures, especially if this is Day 5 of the hair brush being lost.

I have suggested she buys more hairbrushes, but she assures me that they'd only be lost too.

As for the snow thingy ... CANaDa!

Let's trade places for a week. I've been praying for snow all season with only 2 or 3 flakes. That's what happens in Alabama....3 flakes and the city shuts down. Just want to see some long enough to say I saw it:)

kat - lol. I hear ya. I NEED TO GO. But the plow hasn't reached our street and I've watched and laughed at everyone else getting stuck... so I'm thinking I should stay inside. But crunches - I can do crunches at least. Maybe run a few laps around the basement...

slyde - I'd embrace the rain over the snow about now.

Bobo - I love that. That's most adorable. As for it being Canada - gotcha - but even for Canada this is silly. Besides which I am located at the southern most point in Canada - which ought to count for something.

Sprinkle - I'd trade in an instant but I fear you would spend one day in it and run (or...snowshoe) screaming southward.

So you live in Canada's version of Key West, Florida? Southernmost point?

Are their naked tourists and lots of Jimmy Buffett songs there?

Cha. Zactly. Cept with snow and not so many drag queens - pity really. Would be more fun the other way round.

Funny you should mention Jimmy Buffett... I saw him in concert not too many years ago here. Twas fun. Beer tasted good. Too bad they weren't serving anything with tequila in it ;-)

"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow".

Ah I am such a bastard.

We've had the odd flake but it has been falling way before I get otu of bed.

John - I would tell you that I hate you but I don't know you well enough yet. I only tell Earl and Slyde that I hate them on a regular basis but they are used to it.

If it snows again - it's all on you man. All on you.

And I mean literally. I'm going to save it up and drop it on you. All at once. Shabam.
